Hello, I have a 13 year old daughter who would like start lifting weights. However, I do not know what sort of weight lifting exercises she should do, how many repitions she should do, how often she should weight train, and how long she should weight train, and what size weights she should use. Please help!

your daughter is too young really to be lifting heavy weights mate,shes still growing.she should not even be lifting light ones either really as i say shes still growing natually.now im no doctor but i have got 12 years of experiance of weight training,so if she still really wants to train i'd recommend no more than 1 or 2kg dumbbells for her to curl and do everything else with eg-shoulders,triceps etc.and use high reps eg-12-15.using light weight and high reps will burn fat and make you more lean than have bulky muscles.but i would still say in my opinion your daughter is too young to train and would tell her to wait at least another couple of years before she starts to train.maybe thats me being too strict but thats just my opinion.hope that helps
