Hi guys. I was wondering if you could give me some advices. I had been severely depressed for 8 years that was linked to my ADD/ADHD. Now I'm 21 and appeared to be almost cured this often state of mind. I am 6'3 and 180 pounds and could barely bench the bar up itself. Fucking sad huh? It's all good. Mock me all you want. I deserve it. One issue that held me back from going to the gym (as well as the depression) in the past years is something called imaginary audience, where I feel like everyone is watching and judging me .Should I be just doing pushups until I feel confident to go out and bench some weights? Please I need some advice in which baby steps I need to take first. Thank you very much.

Look mate, what you gotta do is just stop thinking what other people are thinking and just do it.your 6f3in and 180lbs,im currantly taking a young lad the the gym from my wotk who 5f8ins and 115lbs and he said just the same(everyones gonna look at me and laugh)thats rubbish cos at least he's trying to do something about it and he's now up to 128lbs and feeling really good and he's doubled his strength nearly.the first 2-3 weeks you will ache a lot more than you ever have, but then it all turns good mate.you will feel stronger more awake than you have for a long time believe me.stop being so negative my friend, just get down to your local gym and ask them to set you a programme they will be happy to help.even mr.universe had to start somewhere mate.stay strong
