I am no body building expert, thats for sure, but I have heard that if your body is sore than it is good to take a day off. I was told that if your body is sore than it means that your muscles have not completely healed from the previous workout, and they need more time. But if its just a matter of you not feeling like going to the gym, I say get off your butt and go workout . Either way, I try not to take days off. If I am exceptionally sore than instead of taking a day off I will just not go as hard in the gym. For example, do more sets and less reps, or decrease the weight by 10 lbs, etc. Hope that helps!
