I took a weights class in college, a year or two ago. I wanted to push myself hard, but squatting three plates actually felt good (315?). No problem getting it up, for maybe five or six sets. I thought if my muscles could take it, do it- but my joints, bones or whatever weren't used to that much pressure. My muscles were sore, but my left knee hurt all the time, and made a funny noise. I was scared to squat again, and I thought I ruined my body at 18.. Damn I know we all want to push ourselves, but be careful. Pushing myself to hard ended up setting me back a lot. It wasn't worth it.
