Morning or Evening workouts?

It is much easier long term to stick to a morning workout routine.
It is way too easy to make excuses later in the day.

What do the rest of you feel about this point?

Working out in the mornings is critical for me. My social life tends to intefere with any evening workouts.

Of course working out in the mornings can be a very tough thing to do. I am not a morning person by nature. I recently started using some ephedra based products to help get me moving but I think we all know the downside to that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on products they use to get up in the mornings? Im especially interested in products that arent harsh on a empty stomach.

Its best to workout in the mornings cause it burns more fat before you eat, plus as student it gets me awake before my classes anyone one who says they don't have the time in the mornings is just to lazy to get out of bed. Plus now that my workout is out of the way, I have all the time in the evenings to do as I please.

In the morning is when your testostarome is at its highest so its easier to build muscle and burn fat, but its critical that you eat before you workout because you can hurt yourself sleeping for so many hours and you havnt ate the whole time so your body is running on empty. its like taking a 100 mile trip on an empty tank of gas you just cant do it.

I train in the evening cz of work but I do find that training in the evening allows me to rest afterwards as I won't be rushing around doing other things.

Training in the morning works well cz your test levels will be higher meaning you can train harder, lift heavier and with more intensity. Also, you have enough time left in the day to get 4 or 5 quality meals in.

If by evening you mean only a few hours before you go to bed I don't think that's a good idea. (I'm pretty sure) Sleep is one of the most anabolic parts of your day. Your growth hormone levels are much higher during long sleep periods. The physical stress of working out will trigger your body to release the catabolic hormone cortisol which will break down muscle tissue to use for energy (that's what the "muslces eating themselves" thing is about). I don't know if that would significantly interfere with GH levels while your asleep but it's something to think about. I personally like working out in the morning. I usually feel tired but as soon as I'm in the gym i wake up. I definitely agree that it's easier to make excuses later in the day.

PS. If by evening you meant like the afternoon or something then just ignore this post, lol.

I was under the impression evening -late afternoon training is the best for people doing weight training??
I was told the body has had the chance to warm all day and you will have the most energy to pump more weights?

I know for myself that I have more energy and my weight training feels more effective in the evening.
However I'm not a very stocky guy and i dont need to loss weight only gain muscle.
the general opinions of this blog is that morning training is the best, for a lean body type that only needs to build muscle would anyone suggest morning weight training still?
