Im 206 pounds and prob around 25% body fat. I am in the process of trying to lose weight and would like to start strength training especially after I lose some considerable weight. Though my opinions may change I do not have at the moment much interest in becoming "huge" I would like to lose my body fat and not look bird chested.

I cant afford a gym membership so was looking into investing in some free weights for the house. I just done know how much weight I need. If I purchased a set of 40lb dumbbells for chest flies and curls would would that be enough when done alongside some body weight excersises (crunches and pushups mainly).

Im basically trying to find out what the minimal weight I need to have a nice "fit" look.
