Gentlemen and ladies,

I am a 47 years young male, 6'5, 220 lbs. I am very active, no health issues, non-smoker & non-drinker. In my 20's, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I lifted religiously, until late 20's. I picked up a very nice Bowflex from a friend of my wife's, and would like to start lifting again. I need some direction from the experts on a starter program to get back into the swing of lifting again. I have some good cardio routines, and some good lifting routines from the past, but I need to know at my age (I hate saying that), any suggestions to get the ball rolling again. I am not interested in "bulking" up, just want to tone up and be healthier. Need suggestions on how much cardio, how much lifting, how often, and some good basic routines that I can compare with what I ahve done in the past.

Any help is appreciated!

for toning you want low weights and 16-20 reps, but i guess you already know that.

as regards to your age you only 47 :) no even middle aged yet. the only thing is your muscles wont recover from exercise as quickly. just take it easy.
