I think that what you are doing is great for weight loss and muscle tone. I do the same kind of workout as you. I do this 3 times a week and I am starting to see results. I would like to see what other have to say, and what worked for them as well.

when you weight train you turn some fat into muscle. So yes you can both lose weight and gain muscle. However, when you get to a certain weight its one or the other. Im around 80kg's (about 180 pounds and just under 6ft.) so i could lose some weight, but as im weight training the fat i lose will be super seeded by muscle, meaning my weight wont change but i will be stronger and leaner.

Although im no professional, this is just my educated opinion

O yes, I have done it! I lost about 15 lbs all the while toning myself. You really feel better about yourself when you see the great results. :)
